This 250 year ld monument was once the residence of the Royal family at the time known as the Umm Al Quwain Fort. It is now the official museum of the UAE. With a wide range of visitors from GCC expats to scholl field trips, this museum depicts the history of UAE in one beautiful fortress.
The museum hosts an invaluable collection of artefacts that are excavated from nearby sites. They take you back in time amd helps them to gain an understanding of the culture and heritage of UAE.
This fort was the residence of the local ruler from 1768 to 1969. The museum features a majlis, old Bedouin jwellery, fancy weapons amongst other archaeological finds from Tel Abraq and Al Dour sites.
