Tomba di Giulietta (Juliet’s Tomb), located at the former San Francesco al Corso convent in Verona, is a 13th-century sarcophagus traditionally associated with Shakespeare's Juliet. It is mostly visited for the simple red marble tomb, peaceful convent gardens, and the adjoining Fresco Museum’s artistic treasures. The site is often paired with a visit to Juliet’s House, making it a part of Verona’s iconic Shakespearean trail.
Tomba di Giulietta (Juliet’s Tomb) is situated within the former Capuchin friars' convent, dating back to the 13th century, now housing the Museo degli Affreschi "G.B. Cavalcaselle". The red marble sarcophagus, lacking a lid, is traditionally associated with Shakespeare's Juliet, making it a symbolic site for visitors. In 1937, Antonio Avena, then Director of the Civic Museums, opened the tomb to the public, enhancing its appeal as a tourist attraction.
