Situated at the Southernmost end of Yercaud, the Tippery Viewpoint can be reached by taking the Tippery Road en route which one is likely to come across some breathtaking views. Elephant Tooth Rocks, which are said to be the remains of some meteorites which fell on the face of Earth, can be seen and enjoyed from the Tippery Point.
Though all the surrounding hills are made up of black granite, this rock is pure white in colour. An adjoining estate known as Tippery Estate is almost joined to the Tippery Viewpoint and was also once a classy hotel in British India from the 1930s to 1940s.
One can also enjoy the beautifully lit view of the town of Salem at night from the viewpoint which is about 2 km away from the Yercaud Bus Stand. The adventure lovers also list down this place as one of their favourites for carrying out treks and other adventurous activities. Trekking, however, is one of the major activities that are organised in this area which offers all the adventure lovers an opportunity to feel the adrenaline rush in their bodies.
