Croatia, the birthplace of Naive Art, houses the Croatian Museum of Naive Art, located in the city's upper part, Gornji Grad. It houses an exquisite collection of Naive art. This art refers to the artworks produced by self-taught men and women who belonged to the working class.
The museum houses around 2000 works of art including sculptures, painting , a few fabric pieces, drawings and prints which are mainly created by Croatian and other well known artists of the world. It contains six rooms, one is dedicated to Ivan Generalic, the second to this disciple. The other rooms are dedicated to other artists including Lackovuc Croatian Ivan, Ivan Rabuzin and others.The museum also hosts educational workshops, expert meetings, exhibitions on naive art etc.
Facilities : Disabled friendly. Suitable for children, families, and groups. Parking is not available. Public toilets are available.
