Jarun Lake

Jarun Lake, located in the southwestern part of Zagreb, offers views of crystal clear water and tremendous nightclubs and cafes by the waterside. From dusk till dawn, this place is full of hustle and bustle because of the wide-ranging activities it houses, like sailing, swimming, and roller skating.

This lake is carved out of the Sava River. Water sports enthusiasts can also do canoeing, kayaking, and surfing. Apart from all these activities, the lake has many cycling and running tracks around it. It offers skateboarders and various athletes the opportunity to skate on the tracks and practice various sports. The lake has one of the best rowing lanes in Europe and has been used for international competitions. The Sava River had embankments that separated the Jarun pond, and during the construction of embankments people were searching pebbles for which they dug deeper into the pond and that's how it led to the making of Jarun Lake.


The waterside is lined up with clubs and bars and acts as a nightlife hotspot. This is the largest entertainment center in the city and is meant for rest and recreation and thus invites guests from all ages to participate and have a hands-on experience.
