Koraknissi is one of the most picturesque spots on Zakynthos island, located near Kiliomenos village on the northwestern coast. This small secluded bay is famous for its rock formations, one of which has a 20 m high naturally carved arch. The rock formations are popular freediving spots. Snorkelling and scuba diving are a must due to the rich marine life and almost complete visibility within the water.
The rocky landscape is complemented by the sheer aquamarine waters forming natural pools and extending to great depths. There are only a handful of resting spots and a tavern right above the beach area. Visitors have to take a challenging climb down the steep stone steps and uneven rocky surface to access the diving spots. Porto Roxa and Porto Limnionas are two beaches within a few kilometres from Krakonissi.
