Makris Gialos beach is a small coved beach located between Agios Nikolaos and Xigia Beach. The tiny pebbled beach is famous for its mesmerising landscape, backed by tall mountainous cliffs and crystalline turquoise waters. The enchantingly deep waters are a great sport for snorkelling and scuba diving due to the presence of rich aquatic life and caves formed due to water erosion. Visitors can enjoy paddle boating or take a boat tour to the popular Shipwreck beaches and the Blue caves.
There are minimal facilities and a small tavern on the road across the beach. Mikro Nisi, Xigia, and Alykes are the nearest beaches.
