The best time to visit Georgia is from March to May. With beautiful wildflowers covering the mountains and the many spring festivals on the rounds, this season brings new colors to the already stunning landscapes of the state. Ideal to enjoy the much talked about breweries around town and the water sports in the Flint River or to talk a walk through time exploring Georgiaâ??s history. The month of March sees the highest number of tourists followed by July and June. Summers are usually hot with temperatures rising to 34 C and rarely falling below 27C at nightfall. Summer spans from June to September and is a good time to cool off at the beaches and eat a peach. The rare Plumleaf Azalea can be seen blooming in the Providence Canyon State Park in the summertime. Winter in the state is mild with very little rainfall and so the more of a reason to explore the state. Enjoy a hot drink in the many cafes, go camping with your family or take a joy ride in the snow-covered mountain parks.
