The Kasarkod Beach is encircled by a thick forest of Casuarinas and is the most popular & pristine beach on the Konkan coast. Notably, Kasarkod beach has attained the status of the first Eco-themed beach in Karnataka.
Kasarkod Beach is an eco-friendly beach, developed jointly by the Tourism and Forest Department of Karnataka and Kasarkod Village to boost eco-tourism in Karnataka and enchant tourists from all over. It lies off the main road and is a slightly secluded spot away from the city commotion. The Kasarkod beach stretches over 5 km and is a neat & well-maintained beach covered with white sand.
It has an admirable old lighthouse, a solar lighting facility, a solid waste treatment plant, and a greywater treatment plant. Also, the beach offers all essential amenities, such as filtered drinking water, clean changing rooms, washrooms, arrangements for seating, & first-aid room.
