Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park

Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park is one of the biggest firefly colonies in the world situated along the banks of river Sungai Selangor. Started in 1970, Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park was made available commercially by a local businessman which then expanded to 27 boats for the visitors by Kuala Selangor District Council.

Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park entrance equips a small café, some souvenirs shop, a ticket counter, and some sampan, a traditional wooden boat on the bank of river Selangor. Ride through the Sampan in the serenity of the river towards lush green mangrove forests full of glittering fireflies along with some background music and ores sound.  The half an hour ride of Sampan will make you experience some best sights of fireflies dancing and synchronizing the light with the other firefly mates bringing out the beautiful luminescence. After capturing the best firefly pictures, try some Malaysian food at the cafes housed in Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park.
