Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati - Shillong | Visit the Biggest Artificial Lake in Meghalaya (114.9 km, 3 Hours)

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Meet your travel accomplice on arrival, who will take you to Shillong. On the way, visit the stunning man-made store, Umiam Lake (Borapani). On arrival check into your hotel and spend leisure time at the Police Bazaar in the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.

After a good heavy breakfast start your journey towards Laitlum Canion. The scenic hill slopes of Laitlum are often called the amphitheater of Meghalaya. After that travel to Dawki Island to be found within the Umngot River. Do different experience activities (on your own) like Boating, Kayaking, Sculling, Zip lining, etc on this island. Visit Mawlynlong which is the cleanest town in Asia. Visit the Double Decker Bridge and stay overnight in Mawlynlong.

Wake up to see the beauty of East Khasi hills. Eat Breakfast and start your journey for Jowai to visit Phe Phe Falls & India's most magical waterfall: Krang Suri Waterfalls. Get drenched and swim in the natural pools. Travel back to Cherrapunji after witnessing this attractive place. On the way visit the Garden of Caves, Arwa Caves, 7 Sister Falls, and then check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji

Enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning. Start the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat). Once you finish your sightseeing for the Double Decker Root Bridge youll head to grasp a stunning view of Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Wei-Sawdong Falls, Mawsawa Falls, Lyngksiar Falls, Mawsawdong Falls, Wah-Kaba Falls. Have a delightful breakfast & start your journey towards the Mawphlang Sacred Grooves. An untouched forest that is the soul of Khasi culture, Mawphlang is home to the most celebrated of all the 'law-kyntang' or ancient sacred grovesof Meghalaya. Post that we will be visiting the Golf Links, Cathedral Church, Don Bosco Monument, Botanical Garden, Lady Hydari Park, and boating on Ward’s Lake. Overnight stay in Shillong

Check out of the hotel and prepare to transfer back to Guwahati as early as possible. Visit the Famous Kamakhya Temple. Proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. You will then take on your return journey and bring this experience to an end.

First of all thankyou for all the arrangements, we had a great time in Meghalaya. Starting from getting the quote and customising it as per our request - you did a great job. Whenever we had any q (Read More)uery, you were there anytime without any hesitation. Tapen Das (cab driver) - He was too good, his attitude shows his experience. The drive from dawki to mawlylong along the border fence in pitch dark will be memorable for ever. He was calm & composed and ensured no rash driving. Accomodation : As per our package category - we had better homestays with lovely views and calm surrounding. Before the trip, I heard from friends that food will be not comfortable but we had a decent meal in all the stays. Though it was a short trip, thanks for making it more memorable. I will definitely recommend Airgennie to my friends.

We four Srctyzen took trip for 7days ,the trip was very well organised and coordinated by Annurthi Koushik and Kalita jagadeesh. All hotels booked for us were very good.The only shortcoming was, we could have stayed one night at Guwahati and looked around.
