Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra and Transfer to Phuntsholing
  • Meet & Greet at Bagdogra airport and drive to Phuntsholing via Beautiful Doors Tea Garden. It takes approximately 4 hours of drive.
  • Check into hotel and take rest
  • Evening stroll around Zangdupelri Chorten and Phuntsholing town
  • Overnight at Phuntsholing
  • After breakfast in the hotel, head towards the Immigration office for Immigration clearance
  • Drive to Thimphu via scenic forest/ hills/ mountains which will take approximately 4 hours’ drive.
  • Stop on the way at Gedhu, Whankha Waterfall, and Chonzom for sightseeing
  • Check-in to the  hotel and take a rest
  • Evening stroll around Thimphu Clock Tower Square/ Town.
  • Overnight at Thimphu
  • After early breakfast in the hotel we will drive to Punakha for sightseeing. It will take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes’ drive.
  • On the way, we will stop at Dochu La Pass for sightseeing and photography. On a clear day, we can see 108 stupas and the beautiful Himalayan ranges.
  • Stop at Chimi Lhakhan (Temple of Fertility). If you are planning to have a baby, you should visit this place.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong - the beautiful Dzong in Bhutan
  • Visit Bhutan's Longest Suspension bridge and meet locals across the bridge and interact with them.
  • Drive back to Thimphu
  • Overnight at Thimphu.
  • Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma Statue), the tallest Buddha statue in the world
  • Simply Bhutan, the living museum
  • The Royal Textile Museum
  • National Institute for Zorig Chusum, to see the Bhutanese architecture
  • Mini Zoo & Sangaygan View Point (BBS tower) – beautiful Thimphu valley view
  • Tashicho Dzong (Thimphu Dzong)
  • Visit craft market (Bazar)/ Walk around centenary park
  • Drive to Paro
  • Overnight at Paro
  • After early breakfast at Hotel, start the Tiger’s Nest hike. It will take from 5 hours to 8 hours depending upon the guest ability to hike. This is the must-see place in Bhutan.
  • Paro Airport Bird eye view
  • Stroll around Paro town towards evening for last minute shopping and photography
  • Hot Stone Bath to relax yourselves after tiring hike to Tiger’s Nest.
  • Overnight at Paro
  • After breakfast visit Paro Dzong (Nya-mey Zam) and Paro Museum (Ta Dzong)
  • Drive to Phuntsholing
  • Overnight at Phuntsholing
  • Drive to Bagdogra Airport and See off by AVTT representative.

Bharat and his team is a true gem to get partnered with when it comes to Travelling to Bhutan. He had arranged everything seamlessly at a reasonable price and the trip was very well executed. The rest (Read More)aurants where we had food were good and Hygienic. Hotels were good with the view we needed. With small kids generally it becomes difficult to travel and enjoy at the same time but with Bharats detailed itinerary customised for us made it easy and Enjoyable. Even the Tigers Nest Trek with kids was fun and easy to go with. Really enjoyed Bhutan and above all the hospitality of the people whom we met. A beautiful place to visit.
