In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by us, where you will be introduced to authentic Nepalese cuisine, offering a delightful glimpse into the country's rich food culture.
After breakfast, a pre-trip meeting will be held where you will be introduced to your guide, and any queries regarding the trek can be addressed. The day’s sightseeing tour includes visits to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, surrounded by monasteries where monks can be seen in prayer. Next, we head to Pashupatinath Temple, the most revered Hindu temple in Nepal, located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, where you can witness Hindu sadhus meditating, pilgrims performing rituals, and traditional cremation ceremonies. Later, we visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing stunning pagodas and shikhara-style temples, the historic Fifty-Five Window Palace, the Lion Gate, the Golden Gate, and numerous art galleries and statues.
We take an early morning scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest treks. Upon landing, we meet our trekking team and porters before starting the trek. The trail gradually descends to Cheplung village, offering the first glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain that remains unclimbed. From here, we continue descending until we reach Phakding, where we stay overnight.
After breakfast, we continue along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through a pine forest and crossing several suspension bridges. The trail takes us through Benkar Valley, Chumoa, and Monjo, where we enter Sagarmatha National Park. A challenging yet rewarding ascent brings us to Namche Bazaar, the bustling trade hub of the Everest region. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
The trek continues along the Dudh Koshi River, following a moderately challenging trail with spectacular views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Tengboche, we visit the Tengboche Monastery, home to a 20-foot Buddha statue, beautiful wall hangings, and sacred Lama robes. Here, we witness a prayer ceremony, either in the evening or early morning, depending on our schedule.
After breakfast, we retrace our steps back to Namche Bazaar, descending through the beautiful landscapes of the Everest region. As we move away from the towering peaks, we reflect on the incredible experience of witnessing some of the world’s highest mountains up close. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
Today marks the final trekking day as we return to Lukla. The descent allows us to take in the last glimpses of the mountains, breathe the crisp Himalayan air, and celebrate our achievements with fellow trekkers. Once in Lukla, we can relax, take a hot shower, and enjoy a celebratory evening.
We take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying one last aerial view of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel and have the rest of the day free to relax or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel.
