Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi Arrival
  • Warm welcome upon arrival at Hanoi Airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • Free time to explore the city at your own pace.
  • Overnight in Hanoi.
  • 7:30 - 8:00 AM: Depart from Hanoi for a 3-hour scenic drive to Halong Bay.
  • 12:00 - 12:30 PM: Arrive at Tuan Chau Tourist Wharf and transfer to the cruise by tender.
  • 12:30 PM: Enjoy a welcome drink and check into your private cabin.
  • 1:15 - 2:15 PM: Have lunch on board while cruising through magnificent Halong Bay.
  • 2:45 - 3:00 PM: Visit Titop Island for swimming, sunbathing, and trekking.
  • 4:30 PM: Arrive at Pearl Farm Village for a visit, swimming, and kayaking.
  • 5:30 PM: Return to the cruise for a cooking class and tea time on the sundeck.
  • Overnight on the cruise.
  • 6:00 AM: Practice Tai Chi on the sundeck.
  • 7:00 - 7:30 AM: Enjoy a light breakfast while cruising to explore other parts of Halong Bay.
  • 8:30 - 9:30 AM: Visit Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in the bay.
  • 9:45 AM: Check out and place luggage outside the cabin.
  • 10:00 AM: Enjoy brunch while cruising back to the harbor.
  • 11:30 AM: Arrive at the tourist wharf and depart for Hanoi.
  • 4:00 PM: Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • 8:00 AM: Depart from Ho Chi Minh City for My Tho.
  • Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, then enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the river, passing stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages.
  • Stop at Tortoise Islet for lunch in an orchard garden.
  • Continue to An Khanh, a lesser-visited part of Ben Tre, for a sampan ride under water coconut trees.
  • Enjoy seasonal fruit, honey tea, and traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals.
  • Visit a local family business to taste coconut candy and experience the rural lifestyle.
  • Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the evening.
  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Morning tour to Cu Chi Tunnels (60 km from Ho Chi Minh City).
  • Learn about the underground network of over 200 km of tunnels used during the war.

Jenny from LVP travel was horrible! She only cared about saving money at the expense of others. She cancelled the person meeting me at the airport, and gave the wrong location for meeting the driver. (Read More)She placed me on a bus rather than a train, arriving at 3:15 am instead of 7 am, with no one to meet me. She did not want to provide the tour agent with money for the promised excursions, making her cry. She placed the wrong name on a day tour, almost making me miss the activities that day. She was an absolute nightmare!

Booked with LVP from Ireland a little apprehensively despite their good online reviews as we were taking a lot on trust with our big family holiday. We needn't have worried- they never missed a beat. (Read More)All connections were seamless, guides were excellent, accommodation arrangements were great, in short could not fault them. Someone checked in with us every few days from HQ to ensure all was going ok. Well worth going direct to a local company for your Vietnam/Cambodia travel needs, highly recommend.
