Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Gangtok Arrival
Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), Bagdogra Airport (IXB), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand, our representative will assist you with the transfer to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Nestled at an altitude of 1670 meters (5480 feet), Gangtok is known for its tranquility, monasteries, and stunning natural beauty. The 135-kilometer drive takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours. After checking in at the hotel, you will have the evening free to explore MG Road (Mall) and local shopping centers. Overnight stay at Gangtok
The next morning, after breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. Tsomgo Lake, located 40 kilometers from Gangtok, is an oval-shaped glacial lake that remains frozen for most of the year and is home to Brahmini ducks and several migratory birds. Nearby, visit Baba Mandir, a sacred site revered by locals. For those interested, a visit to Nathula Pass, which connects India to China, can be arranged (subject to permit availability). Return to Gangtok in the evening, with free time to explore the city before an overnight stay at the hotel.
On the third day, after an early breakfast, begin your journey to Lachen, a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim. The 135-kilometer drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, passing through Chungthang, where you will stop for lunch. Upon arrival in Lachen, check in to your hotel and take some time to explore the serene surroundings, including the nearby Lepcha Village. Lachen is the gateway to several natural wonders, including Gurudongmar Lake and Chopta Valley. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Lachen.
Early the next morning, set out for an excursion to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, situated at an altitude of 11,800 feet. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, this sacred lake remains partially frozen throughout the year. After exploring the stunning landscape, return to the hotel for lunch and proceed to Lachung, a beautiful valley known for its rhododendron forests and breathtaking views. The journey from Lachen to Lachung takes around 2 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and visit the serene Lachung Monastery in the evening. Overnight stay in Lachung.
After breakfast on the fifth day, head towards Yumthang Valley, also known as the "Valley of Flowers," situated at an altitude of 11,800 feet. Along the way, visit the famous hot springs, known for their medicinal properties. In spring, the valley is adorned with vibrant primulae and rhododendrons, while winter offers a mesmerizing snow-covered landscape. After spending time in Yumthang, return to the hotel for lunch and then drive back to Gangtok, arriving in the evening. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed night in the city.
On the final day, after breakfast, depart from Gangtok and transfer to NJP Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport, or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand. The 135-kilometer journey takes about 4.5 to 5 hours, so it is recommended to start early. This concludes your unforgettable North Sikkim tour, filled with breathtaking landscapes and memorable experiences.
