Itinerary

Travel back in time at the Panathenaic Stadium to see where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held. Pass the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch to take a look at the Greek Parliament building and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier. Admire the state buildings of the old Academy, Athens University and the National Library on Syntagma Square Then, head to the Acropolis to explore the famous monuments of Ancient Greece from classical times. we were a mixed group of english and italians, our guide, of greek origin, spoke both english and italian fluently. since during the booking it was specified that it was an italian only tour, there wa (Read More)s a bit of distraction during the repetition from one language to the other. i would have preferred it to be only in one language to better enjoy the experience that although exhaustive was not very detailed.

VERY EXPENSIVE FOR a guided tour in French where the guide was bilingual but focused mainly on English; he had little time for discussions and questions and answers: undoubtedly competent but he didn' (Read More)t have the time; we must not mix languages in a planned group dedicated to one language. As a result, we did not have an explanation for the visit to the acropolis gardens and when we wanted to do it, we discovered that we had to do it in continuity. There are only 2 paid visits in the circuit, which makes the price very expensive. Being in front of the Olympic stadium, the least we could do was to integrate it into the visit, rather than a long bus tour which is not really useful

schedules were not respected. there was a lack of organization to know who was present, knowing that a large number were already on the bus. the tour of the city is very succinct and the comments too, (Read More) few details and concrete explanations. we pass by the monuments several times and it is more of a waste of time. the museum visit is too quick and leaves little time to see the items. the visit to the acropolis deserves more explanations and details. a significant loss of time took place because the guide explained once in English and once in French, which forced her to reduce the content of the comments. given the number of tourists present on the sites it was impossible to ask questions. the visit is scheduled for around 5 hours, it lasted barely 4 hours with the many waiting times. the price paid is far too high in view of the service provided.
