Itinerary

Your first stop is at the Acropolis of Athens. The city’s rich history is documented on every step of the Acropolis of Athens, on every piece of marble gracing the Parthenon. You will have some time to explore the Acropolis Museum. Then, head to the Hellenic Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Take a quick stop for a photo before continuing on to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, a former colossal temple at the center of Athens. You will also stop at the Panathenaic Stadium and then Mount Lycabettus, to take a look at the city from above. You will then set off for the Archaeological Site of Sounion. Visit the Temple of Poseidon at Sounio - an example of classical architecture of the 5th Century B.C. Upon your return to the city of Athens, you will stop at an idyllic place: Vouliagmeni Lake, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera.

We had an amazing day seeing the Temples of the Greek gods and learning about the history of Greece and the back story of the temples. Takis, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and was able to ans (Read More)wer our questions even about the politics in Greece. He was also very polite and helpful opening the door for my wife every time we have to make a stop. He recommended a very good place to have our lunch which was not too expensive but food was really great!
