Itinerary

Explore western Thailand on a private tour from Bangkok. Starting with pickup at 7:00 AM, travel 2.5 hours to Kanchanaburi, learning about the history of this area and life under Japanese occupation in WWII from your English-speaking guide as you go.   The first stop will be at the Allied Cemetery and the JEATH (Japanese-English-American-Australian-Thai-Holland) War Museum. Learn about the poor circumstances of the Asian convicts and European POWs during the construction of the Myanmar railway. Next, you will visit the iconic bridge over the River Kwai, the main landmark of Kanchanaburi. Wait until the local train passes and enjoy the view of the picturesque river. After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you will proceed to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand, the Erawan Waterfalls. The waterfall consists of 7 plateaus and has many caves hidden behind the walls of water. If you wish, you can take a dip in the crystal-clear pools.  At the end of the tour, hotel drop-off will be provided. You will reach your hotel in Bangkok at around 6:00 PM.

We were very lucky and were completely alone on this tour. Our guide Ken was very approachable and always helpful. He explained a lot to us, chose great food for our lunch and gave us plenty of time e (Read More)verywhere. We were able to stay in the national park as long as we wanted. The driver did his job well. A wonderful experience.

We had a full and fantastic day. Would recommend the “A team” to any and everyone! They were knowledgeable, attentive and added a bonus elephant encounter. The tour of the historic River Kwai bridge, (Read More)cemetery and museum were informative and interesting. Seeing the train made it come full circle. The Erawan national park was unbelievable! Each of the 7 layers were unique and beautiful- but the hike to the top was more than moderate! The lunch was fantastic with such variety and was delicious. Finally we fed and rode an elephant- which was over and above! Cannot say how much loved our guides for making such a memorable day- hope you will too!

We expected a bit more explanation from the guide. For example at the track or in the train.

The guide was very nice and attentive, explained everything well to us and left us to our own devices for a while to watch the train go by and the surroundings. At the waterfalls we were also at our o (Read More)wn pace.

the excursion was well organized, but the lady who accompanied us only did the minimum. She didn't say anything about the area we drove through (there were a lot of natural stones to be seen and so on (Read More)). At the waterfalls she turned around and told us we had free time now and then we didn't see her again until lunch

Nice excursion even if the journey from Bangkok is very, very long... Erawan is a very beautiful place but very popular. The most beautiful pool is on level 5. Fewer people and frankly very beautiful!
