Explore Lopburi, the former abandoned capital city of Thailand, now famous for the hundreds of Macaque monkeys that have overrun the area. Discover the secrets of Lopburi, which was once home to King Narai, and trace the steps of Thai history. Purchase some snacks from the onsite monkey temple to feed your new furry friends and try to snap a selfie, but watch out as these monkeys can be a little mischievous. Wander around Narai palace and visit the impressive Khmer ruin and San Phra Kan, a modern spirit shrine. Then relax on your way back to your hotel in your own private car.

there are no longer many monkeys in Lop buri. They have been trapped and relocated. So monkey city has no monkeys.
