Prepare your stomach for a guided street food tour showcasing authentic Thai eats. Find out which Thai dishes you should try first, and sample 9 different street foods. You'll also discover some of Bangkok's beautiful temples and colorful street art as you walk. After meeting your guide at the meeting point, begin your street food tour by heading to a fresh market to try roasted duck with rice at a famous local restaurant that's more than 100 years old. Next, walk along Charoenkrung Road and pick up beloved street foods like Thai milk tea, mataba (stuffed pancakes), Thai BBQ snacks, fresh fruit, papaya salad, and sticky rice. Once you've stuffed yourself with delicious Thai goodies, explore the nearby side streets, weaving in between hidden Buddhist temples and small local communities. Your guide will point out some colorful Bangkok street art along the way. Then, stop at the beautiful Holy Rosary Church (Kalawar Church) and admire the Western architecture before strolling along Talad Noi, one of Bangkok’s historic neighborhoods. Take in the various ethnic Chinese communities and admire the local urban artwork. You’ll end the tour in River City, a riverside shopping center for art lovers. We have a food restriction, but it was no issue for our guide. We had some of the best food, and quickly went back the next day to eat some of our favorites. It was definitely a must!

We did not lern anything about street art. Our guide did not know anything about the topic and only showed us churches and post offices. We did not see interesting street food places. Instead, our gui (Read More)de left us alone for almost 30 minutes to buy all the food by himself.

This was a really strange tour. Being a street food and street art tour, we expected both. The tour started with us being told that all the street food markets would be closed and not open until the a (Read More)fternoon/evening (we were not informed of this when booking). It felt very haphazard, stopping at a couple of randomly picked food stalls along the way after asking if they sold certain foods. We were shown Assumption College, Kalawar Church, the Marine Department Headquarters. After about an hour we saw some street art. Our tour guide was really lovely and friendly, however, walked very slowly, stopped often for rests, and walked ahead with an umbrella shielding them so it was very difficult to hear what they was saying. We tried 4-5 different street foods (compared to the advertised 9), we did not go to a fresh market or famous local restaurant, the tour was far less than 4 hours and we did we go to River City (walked past but did not have the opportunity to go in).

The tour was great. We walked to really great hidden places that we wouldn't have come to otherwise. Since we started at 9 a.m. (right after breakfast at the hotel), it was perfect that the food part (Read More)of the tour was at the end. We were able to try lots of different things. They were all very, very tasty. We can really recommend the tour with Michael.

The tour that was advertised as a walking food and street art tour was anything but a random walking around tour. It finished early and we ate at one place which, if we chose on our own, could have do (Read More)ne better. It felt like we had more toilet stops than food stops and didn't try anything out of the ordinary nor did we learn anything about the 1 place we stopped at. It was very disappointing.
