Wear comfortable walking shoes as there is a significant amount of walking and climbing involved. Be prepared for the hot and humid weather by bringing a hat and sunscreen. Respect the religious site by dressing modestly; shoulders and knees should be covered. The climb to the Temple Cave involves 272 steps, which can be challenging for some visitors. Photography is allowed, but please refrain from using flash inside the caves. Food and drinks are not included, so it's advisable to bring your own water and snacks. Smoking is not allowed within the Batu Caves complex.
