The drive to Delphi is beautiful. Be prepared for hiking up some uneven and rocky steps rather than an inclined path. Go early. I don’t think you need 10 hours, unless you take a leisurely lunch after (Read More) visiting the archaeological site and museum. The museum is small so it doesn’t take much time to walk through. It’s about 2.5 hours to/from Athens (maybe a little longer on the way back because of traffic). The small town up the street from the site it very nice and worth exploring.

The town of Livadia with its stream and cascading waterfalls was the perfect stop on a very hot day. George was a wonderful tour guide who picked us up from about Airbnb rental in the Plaka. He arrived on time with a very nice and clean 14 passenger van. He drove us to Delphi and answered any questio (Read More)ns we had about Greece and the countryside. We made one stop at a rest area before arriving at Delphi. We had time to see the area and the museum. He then took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch with great views. We drove back to Athens and had a wonderful trip.
