Itinerary

Enjoy a full-day trip out of Bangkok, explore the impressive monuments and temple ruins built during the Ayutthaya era. Make your first stop at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon to see the 42-meter-long reclining white Buddha. Then, head to Wat Phra Mahathat to spot the famous tree that has grown around a Buddha's head. Take a selfie with the Buddha's head, but make sure you sit on your knees to show respect, as it is considered holy by Thais. Continue to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the largest temple in Ayutthaya, known for its distinctive row of restored chedis. Housed within the grounds of the former royal palace, the temple was used only for royal religious ceremonies. The three Chedis are very elegant, and the whole place gives a good impression of what it may have looked like before the city was destroyed. You then make another stop in Ayutthaya at Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit. This is one of the biggest Buddha images in Thailand, with a lap measurement at 9.55 meters and a height of 12.45 meters. It is a good model of the Buddha image during the end of Ayutthaya reign. From there, continue to a local restaurant, where you will be served authentic Thai dishes. Move on to Khao Yai National Park and stop at Haew Narok Waterfall to see a beautiful view of the waterfall by walking just 1 kilometer from the main road. Taking a safe trail down the cliff, continue to the Visitor Center to hear about the park’s history and attractions. The final stop is KM 30 Viewpoint on Thanarat Road, and after the wonderful journey, you will return to your hotel in Bangkok, arriving at around 6:30 PM.

We took the tour with our 4 kids <5years and it was just the right combo between Sightseeingtour and natrure experience. Our guide was very helpful and good company. However, the waterfall decent is n (Read More)ot adviseable foe kids <4years, even not if carried on back, because its 200 steep stairs. But the small ones enjoyed the short walk nevertheless and just did wait on top of the stairs. Would do it again.

We took a private tour with our guide, Peter (Preecha). He is a very pleasant and helpful guy who made our trip a very enjoyable one. A bit on the expensive side, but we did cover long distances. Idea (Read More)l if you do not have many days in Bangkok and still want to see some other parts of Thailand.

We had a great time on this tour! Peter was our tour guide- he was fun and knowledgeable. It is a lot of driving, but the van was very comfortable and had fast WiFi. All in all, great chance to see tw (Read More)o UNESCO sites and the countryside in one day.

Very nice guide who takes great pleasure in teaching the history of Thailand and also has an insider tip here and there. The guide and driver were very accommodating and addressed any special features (Read More). Lunch was excellent, even if you don't believe it at first from the restaurant. A very successful tour.

The two sites were magnificent. However it feels like it would have been a better trip if we had just gone by ourselves. Our guide just didn’t enhance the trip in anyway and might have taken away from (Read More) it in some ways. We had to Google simple information after the trip like when the ruins were actually built. He would say different dates and/or names or not know them at all. Also I think some type of heads up or warning would have been appreciated that the waterfall was going to be just a trickle because of the dry season. We visited a waterfall in Chiang Mai that still was extremely impressive and matched the images on the tours website so we didn’t know it was something we needed to ask.

The tour guide (Chan) was great. He had a good foundation of knowledge of the area and also helped me try some different food that I never would have tried on my own.
