Explore the former capital of Siam on a full-day tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, Wat Mahathat, and the Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit on this day trip. At 07:00 AM you’ll be met by a private driver and head off to Ayutthaya province. Stop at Bang Pa-in Palace, a complex of royal residences first built in around the 17th century. Continue to Wat Mahathat, thought to have been built before the Ayutthaya Period, in the 14th century. See the face of Buddha on a tree, and visit Wat Phrasrisanphet, the former royal monastery. The last stop is Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit, where a stunning bronze Buddha image is located. Entrance fees for attractions on this trip are at your own expense. Around 4:00 PM you’ll make the return trip to Bangkok.

This is a MUST do trip!!! We went on a group tour of Angkor Watt and spent a lot of time waiting around. This private tour meant we could see as much as we wanted, at our pace and leave when we were r (Read More)eady. We packed sandwiches from breakfast so we didn’t lose an hour having lunch. This meant we were leaving the sites by 1:30pm as it gets very hot in the afternoon. This is excellent value. Luxury service.

The pros - you get a van all to yourself and your group - driver will take you to all the locations you want within the rental period The cons - booking a Grab to/from BKK and within AYT may have been (Read More) cheaper - the driver didn’t know the rental was for 9 hours, so he tried to convince us to finish our trip in a shorter time. Kept telling us that traffic is bad so we have to leave AYT by 2pm… when this is supposed to be a “Full Day Trip”

The driver was a very pleasant man and he was informative and supplied us with cold water and ice towels to help us keep cool. He also could have carried on going to more temples but at the end we wer (Read More)e both tired and had sweated a lot so we went back to Bangkok
