Start your trip from your accommodation or meet the group at River City Bangkok and depart to Samut Songkhram on a day trip. Thaka Floating Market will give you a truly authentic experience! Here, the locals' way of life is still very much preserved. Thaka Floating market is in Tambon Thaka. It is a floating market where the local lifestyle is still well-conserved. The locals do farming and agricultural work for a living and bring their vegetables and fruits such as chilis, onions, coconut sugars, guavas, cononuts, rose apples, and pomelo to exchange and sell at the floating market in their boats. Along the way, make a quick stop to visit a traditional Thai house, where you can see locals making brown coconut sugar. Explore the house and its surrounding area, which is home to many different animals living on the coconut plantation. .  This floating market still remains the villagers’ way of life in nature. The villagers here do farming and grow various plants. They usually paddle a boat to bring their produce to sell to each other. We had a great day thanks to a joint visit with another family who had booked for Damnoen market. Tha Kha market on its own isn't worth the big trip even if the boat trip was restful but the market is (Read More) pretty small. Damnoen is more loaded with tourists but remains a good place for deals and local food. our guide Bo Ing was fantastic providing information with a good sense of humour.

We felt very deceived. We had booked the Thaka markets and were taken to the floating markets in Damnon Sudak without any explanation. just cheekily changing the tour and not informing people. to iDom

The the tour started with a litten stop a a huge coconut Plantage. It was incredible, interresting and a nice extra point. You meet the Lokal people and can try some coconut Snacks. Next stop was in t (Read More)hakha. Here only a part of the group will take a ride one the boat, ehile the rest can take a look arround the market. It ist very chilled and quiet compared to the second market wich was not included in the discription. Unfortunatelly I already visited the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market so it was quiet dissapointing for me that we could not spend more time in thakha. In Damnoen Saduak you will have one and a half hour time to look arround and/or take a boat. It was not necessary and I think we could spent more time in thakha to look arround the market there. However our guide Lucky was very nice and funny, overall we had a great time.

In this excursion you visit in order to a coconut plantation, the less known floating market of Tha Kha and the more famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak. The plantation is the first thing you vis (Read More)it, definitely not very interesting. The second is Tha Kha, the most beautiful market, small, very local and above all it sells almost exclusively food (fruit and vegetables) as is normal in this type of market. Damnoen Saduak instead has become a mere playground for tourists, an infinite sadness. Despite this, in Tha Kha you only have 20 minutes of free time, too little for the attraction that gives the name to the tour. In the second market they give you 1 hour of time in addition to letting you take a boat ride. Really a shame, you can see that there are too many economic interests. The guide however is a good person, accommodating, and the tour left and returned on time.
