Itinerary

Meet your driver at your hotel lobby in Bangkok at 6.30 AM. The transfer to the rescue center will take about 3 hours. Once you arrive, meet and greet with your guide for the day. Your guide will give you an informed guided tour around all areas of the center. You’ll see some of the rescued animals, hear their stories and learn why they are living at the center. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for you. Enjoy a traditional Thai buffet looking over our large multi species enclosure with elephants, gibbons, and other animals. We will serve both vegan, vegetarian, and meat options at lunch. After lunch, meet and feed one of the elephants. See how the volunteers at the elephant refuge go about their daily tasks. Learn about the elephant’s individual stories and about their personalities. Learn about the conservation issues that elephants face, and how they are exploited by tourist attractions, forced to carry lots of people and perform tricks – you will see none of this at the elephant refuge, where the elephant’s natural behaviour is of paramount importance. Drive around the whole site and get to see the bears and monkeys enjoying their meal before the tour ends at approximately 3.30 PM. Meet your driver once again at the entrance and transfer back to Bangkok. Estimated return time at your hotel is 6.30 PM.

One of the most eye opening, educational and memorable experiences while in Thailand. The Wild Life Friend Foundation’s mission to rescue, rehab and care for these mistreated and or abandoned animals (Read More)is admirable very ethical. The unfortunate result of their ethical treatment of animals is that their ability to generate revenue to continue the support of their mission is limited and I would definitely encourage people to visit, donate and or even consider to volunteer here when travelling to Thailand. WTTF is located roughly 3hours from Bangkok. The hotel pick-up and drop-off service was very punctual and my driver was very accommodating in stops where needed. The provided lunch was also delicious. Our guide for the day Edda was amazing and knowledgable. The guided tour involved a walk around the park and forest area as well as a bus tour with stops to the larger enclosures with exposures to various animals that the park cares for. We got to feed a elephant at the end <3.

great all day tour, timing with driver was perfect and the tour was well timed and planed (eg feeding elephants just as we pulled up in safari tram). there were three families and three solo traveller (Read More)s, so its really for anyone
