Itinerary

This tour will take you to Sharjah, the "Pearl of the Gulf". A pivotal landmark to see during the tour is King Faisal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Emirates. You will visit the renovated Fort of Sharjah, the former residence of the ruling family built in 1820. Then you'll proceed to wander through the adjacent souk "Al Arsa". Before returning, there's time to stroll and shop at souk "Al Markazi" – a treasure trove of carpets, jewellery and handicrafts.

The trip is worth attention, but unfortunately the mosque can only be seen from the outside because it is supposedly closed to tourists, which is a pity... there are many beautiful mosques in Sardza. (Read More)The Museum of Islamic Civilization is beautiful with a lot of exhibits, but the time of 40 minutes to visit two floors is definitely too short, I think 1h-1h 15min would be ok. Blue Central Souk is a very friendly bazaar, air-conditioned with a lot of shops mainly with gold, but you can also buy beautiful pashminas and souvenirs, of course you have to bargain. The downside is that the trip does not end at the pick-up point but in DubaiMall, but for a fee the driver takes you to any hotel.

The tour stopped at the central mosque, but only to view the outside. The Fort was closed due to construction so again we only saw the outside.
