This tour will take you to Kuala Selangor in the quiet hamlet of Kampung Kuantan, where one of the largest firefly colonies in the world exists. When you arrive, you'll visit Kota Melawati, formerly known as Fort Altingsburg, with its old execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. You'll experience the highlight of the tour at Kampung Kuantan. At first, this sparkly display looks like an endless row of Christmas trees, but the synchronized, rhythmic flashing is actually produced by thousands of fireflies. Your skilled local oarsmen will make this experience a memorable and unforgettable one. •Pickup is included from Hotels/Residences/Suite in Kuala Lumpur City's Golden Triangle area (except Pudu area) •Arrive at Kota Melawati (formerly known as Fort Altingsburg) ** Weekday by walking tour (15-20 mins to Bukit Melawati), Weekend with Tram service ** •Depart to restaurant in Kuala Selangor •Enjoy local seafood set dinner •Depart to Jetty for registration •Boarding & observe fireflies •Depart back to Kuala Lumpur •Hotel drop off Hotels/Residences/Suite in Kuala Lumpur City's Golden Triangle area (except Pudu area) •The itinerary is subject to change based on weather or traffic conditions of the day

• Booking required min of 2adults per booking. • Solo travelers are accepted to join/book if assisting we have already got participants, but they will not be entitled to enjoy the free pick up and drop off from stay hotel and all 1 pax bookings are required to come to the pickup point at Berjaya Times Square Main Entrance outside of Starbucks area for meet and drop. • Pick-up Point: Pickup is included from Hotels/Residences/Suite in Kuala Lumpur City's Golden Triangle area (except Pudu area) • Please wait in the hotel lobby/ground floor at least 15 minutes before designed pickup time • Pickup time between 15 mins before or after designed pickup time • This tour is not private and may include other guests • For pickup outside of Kuala Lumpur City's Golden Triangle area (Pudu area and outskirts hotel), a surcharge is required (surcharge rate and pickup time shall defined by pickup location), surcharge is to be paid directly to the driver in cash

We really enjoyed meeting the silver leaf monkeys and the boat trip to see the fireflies was good. I would have liked some information about the fireflies.

Very nice excursion. We had a lot of fun feeding the monkeys. The fort is not worth much but the view from there is very beautiful. The dinner on the river was excellent and abundant with calamari, sh (Read More)rimp, cuttlefish, chicken, rice, vegetables etc. The firefly show is unique. Our guide Sasi, always kind, friendly and available for explanations, took some to let us hold in our hands. The tour lasted 7 hours in total instead of the 8 planned. That hour could have been used to spend a little more time with the monkeys or eat calmly. In any case, it is worth doing this experience. Perhaps the price is a little expensive compared to local costs.

This was a very unique trip and I’m so glad I went! It was one of the only trips to the fireflies that allowed a single person to book for a group tour. But I’m glad. Our tour guide told us a lot abou (Read More)t the area as we drove. The monkeys were definitely a tourist thing but I don’t care, it was pretty cool. The meal was just ok, but the atmosphere and sunset on the river at the restaurant were so beautiful! And there was a crocodile briefly spotted! I’m from the states and we have a different kind of fireflies in summer, these are nothing like them, and so special. It’s like thousands of tiny twinkle lights. They flew onto the boat and some landed on us. It was also so peaceful and there’s no light pollution so the night sky was just amazing. The rest of the tour group I was with were wonderful people from the UK and Dubai. We were back to KLCC before 10pm.

The trip was good. The tour guide was funny and the driver was very nice Seeing the monkeys was good. Even though we didn’t get to go up the hill, the monkeys had come down the hill which was kind of (Read More)good Seeing the fireflies was good. The only thing that I will complain about is that I was vegetarian they didn’t know beforehand but there was three of us and they brought out one tofu dish to share between us and Some rice whereas the people that had the seafood dinner had lots and lots of different things
