Itinerary
Take a nostalgic trip through 200 years of social change, consumer culture, and lifestyle at London's Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, located 5 minutes away from the world-famous Portobello Road Market. With your skip-the-line ticket, step inside the Time Tunnel to explore the remarkable story of how consumer society has evolved since Victorian times. See your favorite brands in their historical context, along with royal coronations, two world wars, man landing on the moon, and right up to the digital age. Laid out chronologically, the Time Tunnel reflects how daily life has been transformed by the invention of the railway, the motor car, and the airplane. Discover how entertainment has been enlivened by the arrival of cinema, radio, and television. Once your journey has finished in the Time Tunnel, you'll get the opportunity to watch some TV adverts from the past. Marvel at the temporary displays which in the past have focused on 1950s Toys, the London Punk scene, chocolate brands, and biscuit tins. Finish off your visit by relaxing in the award-winning memorial garden while enjoying a piece of cake with a coffee, or a refreshing glass of Prosecco (at your own expense). You can also pick up souvenirs in the gift shop that reflect the collection, or perhaps some tasty treats.
