Trace the earth’s beginnings to the dawn of our species with a tour of London's Natural History Museum. Navigate a through a collection of 80 million specimens in a labyrinth of galleries. Be introduced to characters like Sophie the Stegosaurus and the skeleton of a Dodo along the way. Catch a glimpse of the rare Archaeopteryx which is the alleged missing link between dinosaurs and birds. Be mysteriously drawn to the Cursed Amethyst and stand awestruck by an enormous slice of a Giant Sequoia tree. Visit the casts of victims from the volcanic disaster at Pompeii and learn about civilizations that used human skulls as drinking glasses. You can easily spend the whole weekend in the museum and get lost. In the two hours, Sacha showed us the most important sights (we would probably have just walked past most of them) and told us a lot (Read More)about the individual objects and their history.
