A perfect all-in-one experience. With a full-day skip the line entry ticket, a luxurious and traditional afternoon tea, and a fun and friendly guide showing you around. A traditional Afternoon tea including delicate finger sandwiches, delicious patisseries, and freshly baked scones. Selection of premium teas. To begin, your guide will introduce you to the history of Cardinal Wolsey’s creation which he gifted to Henry in 1528. We will stroll through the courtyards that were witness to great events. Passing under Ann Boleyn’s Gatehouse, where she lived before she was executed, we will see the magnificent baroque palace, Fountain Court, created by Sir Christopher Wren for William III and Mary II. Our tour continues to the restored sunken gardens and then onto the vast Tudor kitchens of Henry’s creation. Finally, we will make our way to the Tiltyard (originally for jousting) for a mouthwatering Afternoon Tea. You will then be free to explore Hampton Court Palace’s outdoor spaces and 60 acres of magnificent gardens as well as have full access to the palace for the remainder of the day. This experience is the perfect blend of a guided tour with refreshments and independent discovery. From the beguiling tales of the legendary Henry VIII and his many wives to the unusual joint rulership of William III and Mary II. A fun, friendly, and knowledgeable guide will welcome you for a 2.5-hour guided experience introducing you to the extraordinary palace and fascinating insights into the lives of the Royalty that lived at Hampton Court. Thomas was a superb guide. We were the only two people on the tour so we got a lot of personal attention. There is a lot to see at Hampton Court and Thomas systematically got us from one place to the (Read More)next with great commentary on what we were seeing. The tea was outstanding. Five different sandwiches, two scones each, and five different desserts as well as a good selection of teas. We recommend this tour as a very nice day trip from London.
