Itinerary

Take an exciting day trip of discovery in isolated and largely untouched Musandam. The full-day excursion begins with a drive to the Omani Dibba Port, where you’ll board a wooden dhow or speedboat and sail in comfort through the beautiful fjords of Musandam. The boat passes by Haffa beach and Haffa village, known for its traditional stone houses. Take in the scenic beauty of the region’s beaches and then swim or snorkel in the Gulf of Oman. Before the tour continues, you’ll have time to soak up the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a picnic lunch. You’ll have views of the coastal village of Zeke, rugged and spectacular and white mountain ranges, jutting rocks, and the bays that have earned Musandam the name "mystic Musandam."

Dress code: Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo-chromatic lenses are recommended for those who wear eyeglasses. Hats or some protection for the head are advisable when in direct sunlight. The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions. Swimwear should be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops, and villages. This excursion was badly organized, as I took it on 22 Aug 2018. There was a mixup of Oman visa. The man leafed over unconnected visa and we lost time. We never sailed through any fjords; saw them far (Read More) away. Visited none of Haffa or Zeke villages. After our sojourn to beach, swimming, boatman went about his work of plying other guests on a banana boat. Wasted abt 2 hrs, just idling, after lunch. Strongly told him that we shall wait no more, he started boat. WE WERE ALL HELD TO RANSOM by this arrogant boatman. Then, picnic lunch!! I have NEVER had such a WORST FOOD in my 12 years of stay in Middle East. Dropping us in hotel, van driver went around Dubai twice, we sat patiently in van. Really wonder why after paying much higher than the local market price, GYG is recommending ORIENT TOURS. GYG must do a random quality, contractual checks prior enlisting these BAD tour operators. Back @ 22:30, we missed firework show @ 21:30 in Dubai Festival City. Overall it was just an average trip.
