Discover Paris' food scene on a guided gourmet foodie walking tour. Explore the streets near the Louvre and taste a variety of delicious French delicacies enjoyed by the locals. Meet your guide near the Louvre and begin your day like a local with your first stop at a popular local bakery, where you’ll get to taste some buttery French “viennoiseries” such as croissants or pain au chocolate. Try a “Jambon Beurre," one of the French people’s favorite “on-the-go” meals. Continue to one of France’s most acclaimed pastry stores where you’ll get to taste the fabulous macarons, a sweet meringue-based confection. Learn about the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” title, a unique and prestigious award granted to the best French craftsmen every four years. Then, savor some of the finest French cheeses in one of the capital’s top cheese shops. Once your taste buds have been properly acquainted, enjoy a sit-down meal at a wine bar as you sample authentic cheese and charcuterie with some excellent French wine to go with it. Afterward, explore the most famous street market of Paris which is home to the pastry shop of King Louis the XV. This was an excellent tour, and Maryem was also a fantastic host. Although this was a food and wine tour, she is a school history teacher and was therefore able to add in some very interesting facts a (Read More)s we walked around the area. The food selections were awesome, varied, tasty, and bridged breakfast through to lunch. At the end of the tour, you will NOT be hungry, but you may be a little bit tipsy :)
