Itinerary
Our Rickshaw & Hike the Colors of Bangkok is the ultimate way to experience Bangkok, its hidden gems, local markets, local transportation like a tuk-tuk, longtail-boat and the authentic samlor (rickshaw). The tour starts with a pickup from your hotel for transfer to Klong Toey Market. Klong Toey Market is one of the largest and busiest fresh food markets in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the Klong Toey district, which is known for its large slum area and is situated near the Chao Phraya River. The market is a popular destination for both locals and tourists looking to experience the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of a traditional Thai market. The market is open daily from early morning until late afternoon, but the busiest time to visit is typically in the morning when the market is in full swing. While Klong Toey Market can be a bit overwhelming for first-time visitors, it is definitely worth a visit for those looking to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a bustling Thai market. After we’ve explored the market we take a local Tuk-Tuk to transfer us to the Chao Praya river where we embark a local longtail-boat that brings us to the other side, a much greener side of the river we call Bang Krachao where the samlor’s are waiting for us. Bang Krachao is a peninsula located on the other side of the Chao Phraya River, and it is often called the "green lung" of Bangkok because of its rich natural environment and abundant greenery. Samlor is a traditional Thai bicycle rickshaw, and it's a popular mode of transportation for locals in Bangkok. Riding a samlor is a unique experience that allows you to see the city from a different perspective while enjoying the fresh air and scenic views. There are various points of interest along the way, such as temples, local markets, a park and a Muay Thai boxing gym. One of the most popular places we visit in Bang Krachao is Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden. This park offers a peaceful retreat from the city and features a wide variety of plants and trees, as well as walking trails and bike paths. During the weekends and national holidays, we also include the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. About halfway the excursion we visit a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious Thai lunch. Exploring Bang Krachao by samlor is a unique and memorable way to experience Bangkok's natural beauty and cultural heritage. It's a great option for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in the tranquility of this green oasis. Overall, the Rickshaw & Hike the Colors of Bangkok is a unique and exciting way to experience the city and immerse oneself in its culture. Note: sometimes it may be necessary to change the above program and the places to be visited due to unforeseeable circumstances.
