The beach is also patrolled which makes it a safe place to have fun at. Located on the Wainuiototo Bay, the New Chums Beach can be reached only after a 30 minute hike. This golden sand beach is an exotic location surrounded by greenery and small hills with plenty of shade. Climbing the rock structures there will give stunning views of the surroundings that are Instagram worthy. Also, due to the uneven tracks and rocky structures, it is necessary to have hiking shoes. The beach is set in a secluded area and getting there in the morning will give a pleasant experience. The beach does not have trash cans or toilets, hence it is suggested that visitors come prepared for that.
Around 30 minutes of drive from Raglan through a narrow gravel road, Te Toto Gorge lookout is located on a high spot overlooking the Tasman sea. The beach cannot be visited per se and is not accessible but the views that this lookout offers is to die for. Pack for a picnic and take a small detour to experience this coastal wonderland.
