The First Baptist Church was founded in 1886 and is now a Southern Baptist megachurch located in the city of Dallas. The church is home to almost 27,000 visitors who come weekly. The church is currently the owner of several schools, colleges and radios.

The church went through a kind of revolution in 1991, when some of the members voted to opt out of the Presbyterian Church and form a church of its own. Although it failed in its objectives, the Church did get released from Presbyterian Church for a hefty fine in 2014.
