Beautiful Fort Aguada lighthouse dominates the landscape of the Fort. A bell inside the lighthouse later became a part of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji. For a small fee, a curving staircase can lead you to the top from where you can have a beautiful view of the sunset. The mesmerising view of the setting sun combined with pristine water of Arabian Sea from the top of the lighthouse is so picturesque that it can capture the heart of anyone who comes here.
Painted in bright red and white stripes, the Betul lighthouse makes a good subject for the landscape photographs. Situated only 20 kilometres away from Madgaon, Betul is an unexplored part of Goa and it is more popular with people who travel to offbeat places. The lighthouse is situated atop a hillock in Quitol and is surrounded by tall pastures of grass on one side and with the coast on the other.
Standing 93 meters tall on Grand Island 8 kilometres away from Marmagao, the St. George Lighthouse is accessible only by boat. The lighthouse is painted in black and white horizontal stripes and stairs run outside on the cylindrical building. The tower and the site have been closed down.
