Okay but poor treatment and value for money

Good location for the marathon. Rooms were clean. I was initially allocated an interconnecting room (with no soundproofing) with a very noisy neighbour. They changed my room without any bother

Given this was the marathon hotel and I paid 300 euros a night for a very small room (no breakfast) I requested to be able to shower after the marathon. The staff were very dismissive of my request, I was only allowed to leave my bag there (I ended up using the marathon showers at the finish). The staff were also not helpful in getting me a taxi. I was a solo independent traveller. I suspect I would have been treated differently if I was with many of the marathon tour groups or elite teams in the hotel.

Unsafe, not clean and no respect for procedures

The lobby has a good restaurant.

The ventilation system is old and not functioning. We have 2 conected rooms and in one of the rooms was very cold. The receptionist explain to us that there is nothing they can do. Our litle girl got a cold. In the last night, at 2 a.m. the water came to the ceiling in the room, even through one of the lamps. It was horrible. I went to the reception and they send a guy with some towels and a bucket. Because we were supposed to leave at 7 a.m. we stay al four of us in one of the rooms with the fear that we may electrocute. They didn"t stop the water suply in the building. Even that you don't have a technician on site all the time you should know how to stop the water in case of emergency. In the morning the hall was also floded. Funny was that at 7 a.m. the new receptionist didn't know anything about it. Her colegue didn't tell her nothing! We payed 430 euro for a night that turn into a nightmare. Too bad that is a Marriott hotel, a brand hotel were we expect to feel protected. We feel unsafe and the receptionist only think that we should accept the situation the way it is without taking urgent measures. If there was a fire it was supposed to wait till morning? Why she didn't come upstairs to see what is happening there? How she evaluate the problem? In case of a accident we were supposed to be the blame? And why she did not say anything to her collegue in the morning, after 4 hours since the incident? Why? How is this possible in a Marriott hotel? I care less about the curly hair that we found on the bed than the safety of my family. Unfortunatelly, this should not be a Marriott hotel.

Very tiny room and bad hotel location. Uncomfortable stay.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Inconvenient location for tourists. Expensive rates and mediocre hotel with very small rooms. Website indicated that booking can cancelled but it was not so. No changes nor cancellation was allowed. Felt like a scam hotel.

Not what I expect of a Marriott, but adequate.

I was really impressed with the fire proofing..double door protected escape stairwell, heat (as opposed to smoke) detectors, and building zoning were exceptional. You certainly don't need to worry about a fire in this hotel.

The "New Interpretation" of the resturant concept. A resturant serving the same menu as the bar, putting it's tables right next to the busiest part of the hotel (next to the lifts), with loud music makes for less than a 4 star experience. The food was adequate, but not what I expected of a hotel with Marriott in it's name. I also hated spending ages waiting for a lift...for a medium size 10 storey hotel, 2 lifts is simply inadequate. If it was only 2 or 3 storeys, no problem..but not 10.
