Upon arrival, the room was very cold, even though the heating was on full blast. Evidently, no one had stayed in the room before, so they turned off the heating and turned it on before our arrival. So it took a long time for the room to warm up to a civilized temperature. But that was not the main problem. The next day we returned to the room in the early evening and there was a very unpleasant noise in the room. It looked like it was coming from the air conditioning unit, but that probably wasn't the source. After an hour, when the noise did not stop, I called the receptionist. She showed up, said that she didn't know what the noise was coming from, probably from a pipe, but that she couldn't call a repairman and that we should wait to see if it stopped on its own. It didn't stop. My husband and I were already shaking our heads. So we went to the reception again. The lady told us that she could only offer us earplugs. It is said that changing the room is not possible because they are fully occupied. We were thinking about leaving early, it wouldn't be possible to sleep in it even with plugs. But the husband thought to look at the booking.com website and there he found that the hotel had available rooms. He then verified it directly on the hotel's website. And so we went to the receptionist again. She pretended to be very surprised and said, if we don't mind, that it's a lower level room. The down grade was that there was no kettle in the new room and there was a shower instead of a bath. But there was silence. We had to carry our luggage ourselves. Once when we had to change our room in another hotel because the heating broke, the staff automatically transferred our luggage and apologized. Neither happened here. And I would find more problems in this hotel, but they are trivial compared to the described main problem. For example apparently not well washed teapots for breakfast etc.
