On arrival at the property we were challenged by the lack of parking at the front of the hotel which could have been better communicated by the property . After a long drive through traffic that felt like we were in a chariot race at Circo Maximo no less we were blocked in by 2 other parties who were not concerned and refused to move until they had checked in. Two other cars and a Taxi driver tried to block us in on the attempt to exit the parking bay. The carpark is close by and it would be a good suggestion to the property to take payment and supply the code in receipt of car reg number to enter the car park first and prevent entering the tiny space at the front of the property there is if you are reading this a loading bay at the side of the hotel.
The interior halls of the hotel were revolting and looked like they were in the process of demolition with skirting boards prised from the wall and paint in an extremely poor condition, the floor in our room was filthy dirty. The bathroom although well appointed in terms of the suite was poorly fitted and the toilet or bidet were leaking which felt a little revolting to be honest. Extraction in the room was not thought of but hay there was a window to crack open but It was sealed or jammed.
The property and booking.com seem to have a problem with internet security. we received a message to supply our card details again which I did unaware that my wife had made payment prior to this. What is infuriating is that the message was sent from the property on booking.com so someone is the culprit but neither party care or have offered any recompense for our material loss, I had to purchase a new card and security details (with unfortunately are not free at my retail banking supplier) and spend time re entering my new card details for many household utilities. neither booking.com or the hotel have offered any recompense for this.
