The Chalet is difficult to find. It is hidden by another property. The ceiling is lower than expected. We kept pumping our heads. The stairs are VERY slippery and small. A few of us slipped coming down and up the stairs. The biggest issue was the water. It wasn't working when we arrived. We had no water coming through the pipes. Apparently, they had been having plumbing issues the week before and thought the plumber had fixed the issue. Unfortunately, it was not. They use a well that is shared by 4 or 5 other properties. The host did have the plumber come by the next morning. But we had to all take a shower one at a time with barely any water. The water issue was never really fixed. It continued until our departure. Also, the washer was not working properly. The host had come by to fix it as well. We were unable to wash our clothes. Thankfully the host had his cleaning crew pick up our clothes and wash them. They dropped off the clean clothes the next morning but they were not dry. We had to hang all our clothes (6 people) all around the house for the next few days to let them dry. Which took the entire time we were there. This really put a huge inconvenience on our trip especially with how much we paid to stay at this Chalet. We made the best out of it. But it was very inconvenient. We do plan on returning to Switzerland but will not be booking this Chalet in Grindelwald. If you plan on staying here definitely consider the water issue.
