About This Property

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Plunge into the wonderful swimming pool amidst a large park after a day of doing sightseeing or business in Lugano. All rooms are air-conditioned and non-smoking and are equipped with soundproofed windows. The comfort rooms are located in the annex building and the superior rooms in the main building of the Continental Parkhotel. La Veranda à la carte restaurant or in summer Grotto & Ronco dei Bianchi Distillery, with warm Ticino specialties, open from 6.30pm to 10.00pm. The buildings of the surrounding Ronco dei Bianchi historical vineyard have been carefully restored and house a distillery, a cellar for the wine production, the agricultural museum and the grotto restaurant.

Superb

The hotel is considered a great choice to stay in for those who love traveling to Lugano.

The location of the hotel is very good with a beautiful view, very close to the train station, and easy access to the shopping center. The room area is very large and contains large wardrobes for clothes. As for breakfast, there is a variety of foods. As for the reception staff, they are very cooperative and deal with guests well.

There is no clothes hanger in the bathroom which is important to me.

Amazing View - Amazing Food - Amazing Hotel!

The rooms was perfect! Amazing view! The bathtub/jacuzzi in the room was a big plus. The staff is 11/10 amazing! The breakfast is very good! FREE parking for your car! FREE bus/train tickets for every day stay. The Lindtt chocolate in our bed was a excepcional gift and we thank you a lot!

The queen size bed was with the sheets done in a very strange position when we went to sleep at night. They were separated (maybe this is normal and I don't know). But his is nothing, we liked everything!

Great old charming hotel in a very cool town. Loved location!

Clean and great views!!! Loved balcony and jetted tub. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant! Lovely breakfast included!

Bed was not that comfortable. A little noisy from train station but nice to be so close!

Disappointing

Good location but everything else about the hotel was very poor after that.

The location and grounds were good.

I booked a single room with a single bed. What I got was a room that resembled a store room with a camp bed. The balcany outside the french doors was actually shared by the room and people next door. Not ideal for a women travelling on her own. I also ate at the restaurant once and was charged CHF28 for melon with Parma ham. Very expensive, even for Switzerland.

Very convenient location, friendly, helpful staff - altogether a very good stay and I would return

We were visiting our daughter at the Montarina, it was very convenient and close to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view of the the gardens, pool and a glimpse of the lake - all very pretty. Breakfast was included, it was a very diverse and full meal. The building itself is 150 years old, everything has been modernized and is as good as could be expected Its not a 5 star hotel, but the service, staff and amenities are a very good and comfortable value
