First off the Delaney Hotel and House are a landmark destination of Western MA. The majestic location off of Rt. 5 overlooking the river is absolutely stunning, especially if you get a room with that view. Upon arrival, we were greeted with sincere hospitality and professional assistance. The check in process was flawless, highly recommend you utilize the pre-registration or check in link when they send it to you. You will still need to provide a valid ID and credit card. The amenities were fair. They have a half pool and jacuzzi somewhat behind the check in desk. Little space equals highly crowded if occupied by a family of 4, which when we arrived there was. The atrium is stunning with a beautiful wooden staircase, fireplace, and model family den furniture placement. Breakfast is complimentary, and there are two water stations, one right next to the desk, and the other on the 1st floor near the breakfast buffet setup. When were located placed in Rm. 123. The location was great since we were the corner room and our neighbor next to us was their supply closet. We just got married. The room itself which was a single King was roomy. A little too roomy. The floor was tiled and they had a carpet that was way too small for the size of the room. Temperature setting was 71 which was perfect. The bed was a standard King, with white plush sheets and comforter. The bathroom was a full tub/shower with a single sink but plenty of space with a full mirror.
Overall, there was some disappointment to this accommodation due to the reputation the Delaney Hotel holds in Western MA. The room was a standard room with too much space, and could not justify the value of the price of the room with the reputation of the hotel. Hampton Inn or Hilton Gardens have the same amenities but comfier style and setup of their rooms for a much for economical price. I know if I was able to purchase a suite it would have been a different experience hopefully .
