We got in after a very long drive later at night. All we wanted was a shower and sleep. Walked into a dirty room. It smelled terribly of mildew. Floors were covered in sand and crumbs, a straw wrapper, bits of paper and a wadded up receipt. Pull out sofa had a sheet on the mattress that was covered in long dark brown hair. About 2 cups of old coffee left in the coffee maker. Spilled coffee around the coffee maker. Filthy microwave. Mold on the ceilings/upper walls in bathroom. Upon attempting to shower in a stall that's the size of an RV shower, with a terrible shower head, the water NEVER even got warm. The sink faucet got hot, but never the shower. So basically we had to determine if we were filthy enough to warrant an icy shower, though even in the shower the soap never rinsed off because the shower head was so lousy and in order to wash your lower half you had to be halfway out of the shower stall due to its tiny size. I told them about the messy room because I wanted them to know. I never let housekeeping staff into my room once I've arrived because I don't want strangers in my space with all of my personal property. The next morning as we're walking out our door a gentleman, who was also the same man who cleaned our room before our arrival, stopped us and showed us a list of my complaints and said he was gonna give me the works. How uncomfortable. I told him no thank you. It was a bit odd. Simply put, if a dirty, stinky, can't even take a shower while you're staying place isn't on your wish list, go somewhere else. Avoid G7 1 bedroom with garden view FOR SURE!
