Exceptional value for what I got

Very good value - 49 for very large, clean, comfortable room with good breakfast.

Beds a little hard for my taste. A bit of noise from the corridor.

Satisfactory accommodation at a good location/price but the cooked breakfast is poor.

This hotel is ideally located just off the M5 10 minutes from Exeter airport. We used it to attend Exeter Races on New Year's Day. The staff were very efficient and friendly even giving us complimentary parking as recompense for the lift being unserviceable. The room was basic but comfortable and clean although some tlc and modernisation would not go amiss. The shower was a good size cubicle. Watch the road layout if going south from the hotel on the M5 it is a bit of a spaghetti layout.

The buffet breakfast is major negative due to the "canteen" atmosphere and the method of keeping the food hot(steamers). The cooked breakfast was good quality food but but spoilt by the bland steamed taste of the bacon and sausage.The are are no fried or poached eggs on offer and no butter for the toast(sunflower spread only). The food would be so much better if halogen lamps were used. One positive point was the ample croissants and muffins on offer which are wrapped and ideal to takeaway for your journey. There was also an excellent choice of fruit. Come on Holiday Inn sort that breakfast out and get a good overall review.

Breakfast was basic but its a cheap hotel. The lift was broken but we were only on the first floor.

Lovely well equipped clean bedrooms.

The choice of food at breakfast, no eggs were available for 3 mornings. There were no vegetables at breakfast, eg mushrooms or tomatoes.

Present stay in quite hotel with very helpful and polite staff.

Room very quiet and comfortable. Staff very helpful and polite. Location good for visit and easy to find. Staff helped sort out second day stay with parking.

No eggs for breakfast and not able to have meal on second night due to staff sickness. Air on a little noisy. No instructions on using car park meter. Lift broke and 2as on second floor with suitcase.

Excellent staff hotel was kid friendly and a plesent stay with breakfast incI will be booking again

We had such a pleasant stay here with my 4 children the lift was broke unfortunately and that was the only down side as had a lot of luggage being a family party of 11 shared between 3 rooms but a lady helped us with that and on new yrs eve was very helpful in bringing my sons 5th bday cake out to us making his night that bit more special. All the staff that evening was friendly and welcoming thanks again all
