Myself & six family members recently stayed at the Best Negresco & we had a wonderful time.
The location was great. The sea view from the hotel & pool was fabulous, with amazing sunsets.
The food was good and the chefs who cooked the food were great. Ismael & Alba provided excellent service in the restaurant.
The bar staff during the day and night were excellent. They helped to make the holiday special. David, Antonio, Jose, Damaris, Eric & Alejandro deserve special recognition for their excellent customer service. They worked so hard, were understaffed and always had a smile on their face.
The drinks were of very good quality. You could not fault them.
Also a special mention to Bea, Sebas & Mae..they were such great entertainers & also made our holiday extra special. They were very friendly & worked hard to include everyone & make it a fun evening.
The quality of the entertainment in the bar was great & for the first time ever, we all stayed in the Hotel every night. Bingo, dancing, musicwe loved how it was so varied & not typically English.
The room had all you needed, our sea view was well worth the extra money. The lady who serviced our room, 1227, was excellent. The towels were the only thing that let the room down. They were very old, looked dirty and marked at times.
The reception guy in the evening was very helpful and always had a smile on his face. The daytime receptionist were not so. As they are the first people you meet, they did not give the hotel a good impression.
Unfortunately, four out of seven had a virus and were quite sick for a couple of days. When I advised one of the day receptionist, she was not concerned and said to wait until 10am for some bottled water for my family!!! I understand it was not the hotels fault but receptionist could have been more helpful.
Jet2 rang a couple of times to see if everyone was ok, which was great.
