Receptionist was terribly impolite and cold weirdest reception experience Ive had. My friend and I arrived 15 mins before 3pm (check-in) and she was checking in a couple with a baby. When it was my turn (my friend stayed seated at the lobby), she started putting on her jacket because somebody came to fetch her and she told me, you have to wait because I have to go to the parking. I may have looked like I was processing what she was saying so she said, English or German? I answered English and she repeated that she had to go to the parking. The woman who fetched her asked if it was a busy time, she said the guests are here even when its not check-in time. Out loud that I could hear, without a hello nor a smile, without explaining anything to me, without any clear communication that check-in at 2:45 was not possible which I could have totally understood had she only been decent enough to let me know and talk to me like a normal hospitality industry person would. I waited by the counter until she arrived around 5mins later and she hadnt even reached the counter when she told me that I had to wait and that shed call me when I could check in. I repeated everything she said in question form because I couldnt believe how she was talking to me - no greeting, did not even ask if I was actually there to check-in, she just kept ordering me to wait. So I asked again, so I cant check in now? She said, no. You have to wait because I have things to do. So I sat down in the lobby to wait until 3pm. And just before then a group of older people came in obviously just arriving in the hotel and she spoke to them in German without even looking up from the counter. My friend who spoke German said she was more politely (than she did us) telling them that check in was at 3pm. So the group waited with us in the lobby. The receptionist called them first. Not even me and my friend!
