About This Property

Family-run for 3 generations, this Belle-Époque hotel in Pontresina offers the 700 m² Aqua Viva spa area with an indoor pool, a hot tub, various saunas, a foot bath with waterfall, various showers, a rest area and massages. Guests benefit from an on-site restaurant and free WiFi. The hotel offers a choice of south-, east- or west-facing rooms, or quietly located north-facing rooms. All rooms at Hotel Walther Pontresina are non-smoking. Some rooms have a terrace or a balcony. The La Trattoria restaurant serves Italian pasta specialities in a rustic Mediterranean ambience, together with fish and meat dishes and more. The hotel also features a bar with piano music and an exclusive smoking lounge. Many services are available free of charge, including use of baby equipment and transfers from and to Pontresina Train Station. Classic luxury

Felt like a luxury hotel from an Agatha Christie novel of the 1920s. Traditional, but not stuffy. Great decor, attentive staff, sunny balconies, nice spa and massage. You can the owners really care and the staff seem happy to be there, extremely well run, I looked forward to my return.

Heritage property, family run, great staff and the owners are present and very personable

I will bring my own tennis balls next time ... and location is nice but not in St. Morritz

A beautiful, old world charm, 5 star hotel with friendly staff and so much character.

A fabulous hotel, full of old world charm and in a wonderful location. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was a problem and every request was greeted with a smile. A lovely mix of 5 star service with a friendly, family touch. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in!

Amazing Hotel worth a Visit

The Hotel is amazing with beautiful ddcorations. The staff is always friendly and very caring. They get to know your likings and are so forthcoming. Every afternoon you can get cake and tea in the salon. The Spa facilities are very nice and clean. The food is amazing. I really liked how the owner Mr. And Mrs. Walther regularly came to ask if everything was in order. They are super friendly to dogs and even prepared a bed for our dog.

My family and I had a great time at the Walther. There was really not much to dislike. The room cleaning was very attentive altough we had twice to ask to come clean the room in order for us to let pur dog in the room. But nothing worth mentioning.

Luxus!

The Hotel is amazing. Beautiful in every way. The staff are very kind, aware and cater for every need. I brought my girlfriend from the US for her first time in Switzerland and she was blown away when we stayed at Hotel Walther.

Everything was exceptional.
