(this is a review for Imbali Safari Lodge as we have been allocated there on our arrival at Hoyo Hoyo)
It was unforgettable and magical!
We initially booked Hoyo Hoyo for 3 nights for our honeymoon, but on arrival, we were informed that we had been relocated to Imbali, only 10 minutes away.
At Imbali, we found out that we were the only guests for the night, and that was a great surprise. From the first minute, we were treated like royalty, everyone looked after us so well. We did the check-in, left our belongings in our room, went for a Safari, and, on arrival back, were surprised with a very nice and private dinner on the deck looking at the pond. The day after, even with the arrival of more people, the hospitality remained the same quality throughout our whole stay.
Andrew, our ranger for the 3 days we stayed there, was amazing! Very knowledgeable, engaging, truly respects and loves the wildlife, and makes the best hot chocolate with Amarula on the stop for a morning break in the savanna.
Mary, the manager who checked us in and looked after us most of our stay, was always lovely and engaging, making sure we were having the best experience.
Golden, France and all the team of people that work there were always lovely, going above and beyond. On the first morning we were there, we went to the main lodge to watch the elephants at the pond and France came with snacks, and offered us drinks and mimosas and everything. Later on, when we had already returned to the room, they gave us a call to inform us that another group of animals arrived there, so we wouldn't miss it. They were also always engaging, it was always a pleasure to talk to them and get to know them.
Martha, who did my massage, is amazing!
The food is outstanding (congratulations to the amazing chefs there!), everywhere is always clean and smells fresh, the rooms are incredible!
The place is unreal, but what made it so special for us was the incredible people working there!
