Old and not very comfortable

Water pressure is really good. Breakfast is not a typical buffet, but nice and tasty.

- Looks and feels really old and requires renovation (except bathroom which is more or less modern, but also has some issues). - especially old wooden windows, some of which cant even open because handles are stuck. - and the old wooden floor which is not possible to walk on without waking up the whole building. - There are air conditioners, but they look old and not well maintained, and behave really weird.

I didnt like they charged an extra 10 euros a day to make available a baby cradle in our bedroom. This service is usually free.

Wonderful and relaxing. Very impressed by the amazing hotel staff, who went above and beyond!

I love the Hotel L'Octroi. The hotel is stylish with a lovely pool and nicely decorated rooms. This is my second time of staying here. The breakfast was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly. I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT thanks to the cleaner there, who saved my bacon when my taxi didn't turn up to take me to the train station! She kindly drove me to the station in her own car. If it wasn't for her kindness, I'd have missed my train and flight home!

I booked a smaller room this year, but that was my own mistake! I couldn't change my room as the hotel was booked up.

Historic Stop Off in A Medieval City

We booked a suite (Room 171) - which is essentially a room with a separate bedroom attached to it. There was a modern bathroom, with a separate toilet, both of which were off the main room, where we (grown ups) were sleeping. Although functional and clean, there wasn't a lot of room, and our teenage girls had to go and sit in their bedroom when we were all in the room. There were some seats and tables outside in the foyer, so we went and sat there with our drinks and snacks. No kettle available (we did ask) and no coffee machine. It was clean though, and on a bus route back to the airport. Only a few minutes walk into the historic centre, so close to all the amenities and restaurants, shops etc. Funky, modern decor - our girls said it was like being in an IKEA shop set! An ideal stop for a few nights but a bit too small for anything longer.

Stylish and modern hotel, close to La Cite.

The location was perfect for exploring the medieval city; when we went the pool was open (thanks to the unseasonably warm weather), so this was a lovely bonus and we got to cool down after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is not far from the airport bus stop too.

Whilst this didn't bother us too much, our room was by reception and the WC, and we heard everything going on in the corridors. Light sleepers would definable be disturbed by this, however this didn't distract from our overall stay.
